BRIDOR USA, Inc is Hiring a Remote Market Sales Specialist

JOB TITLE: Market Sales Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY:

As a Market Sales Specialist at Bridor, your role is crucial in driving sales and market growth for our artisan bread and pastry products in Midwestern U.S. reporting to the VP of Sales - Central Region, you'll focus on expanding our market presence and cultivating key accounts in various establishments such as coffee shops, bakeries, restaurants, colleges/universities, and hotels.

This position demands a combination of culinary expertise, sales strategy, and relationship-building skills. Your responsibilities include developing new offerings, identifying business opportunities, and maintaining strong client relationships to meet sales targets and boost revenue. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • Pastry Creation and Innovation - Utilize your culinary skills and creativity to develop innovative and appealing recipes that differentiate our products in the market. Stay updated on culinary trends, flavor profiles, and presentation techniques to ensure our pastry offerings remain competitive and relevant.
  • Sales Strategy Development - Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop comprehensive sales strategies and business development plans to promote Bridor’s products effectively. Identify target markets, customer segments, and distribution channels to maximize sales opportunities and market penetration.
  • Customer Relationship Management - Engage with existing and potential clients to understand their needs, preferences, and challenges related to bakery needs. Conduct product demonstrations, tastings, and presentations to showcase the quality, taste, and versatility of Bridor products.
  • New Business Development - Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities, including partnerships with restaurants, cafes, hotels, coffee shops, catering companies, cruise lines, convenience stores and retail outlets. Develop strategic alliances and collaborations to expand our market reach and generate new sales leads.
  • Market Research and Analysis - Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify market trends, consumer preferences, and opportunities for product innovation. Secure feedback from clients and industry stakeholders to inform product development teams and marketing strategies.
  • Sales Support and Training - Provide support to the sales team by assisting with customer inquiries, preparing sales proposals, and conducting product training sessions. Share your expertise in pastry-making techniques, flavor combinations, and product features to enhance the sales team's product knowledge and effectiveness.
  • Quality Assurance and Product Development - Work closely with the culinary team to continuously improve product quality, consistency, and innovation. Ensure adherence to quality standards in pastry & bread production, including taste, texture, freshness, and presentation.
  • This role may require occasional travel to client locations, industry events, or trade shows.
  • Work hours may vary, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate client meetings and sales events.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 3 years customer-facing outside food sales experience in either the wholesalers, foodservice or CPG
  • Degree or diploma in Culinary Arts, Pastry Arts, Business Administration, or related field
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to identify and capitalize on sales opportunities
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence key stakeholders
  • Creative flair and innovation in pastry design, flavor development, and product presentation
  • Knowledge of market trends, consumer preferences, and competitor analysis in the industry
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and culinary departments
  • Flexibility to travel up to 70% and to engage with clients, attend industry events, food shows and participate in sales activities

TECHNICAL SKILLS NEEDED

  • Strong computer skills – Teams, One Note, Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook
  • Experience using sales tracking software
  • Effective communication skills, sales planning, industry and product knowledge
  • Follow all safety, health, environmental and company rules
  • Knowledge of HACCP, GMP’s and BRC is a plus
