Become part of the Clinical Service team at Bridgeways, a social enterprise company that provides services that promote quality-of-life, facilitate growth, independence, and a sense of community for individuals with behavioral health conditions. Bridgeways is seeking a Housing Support Counselor / Case Manager for our Supported Housing services. Use your skills to support people with mental health concerns in Snohomish County in finding safe, affordable housing. This is an extremely rewarding position where you can directly help people struggling for stability and consistency in their lives.
Type & Pay: Full Time, non-exempt, paid biweekly. Salary range from $22.00 - $25.00 per hour, DOE

Primary Responsibilities of Housing Specialist | Case Manager:
  • Provides direct clinical service to facilitate housing and placement and behavioral health stability. Completes day-to-day tasks within housing program, facilitating access to safe, secure, affordable housing.
  • Provides case management/information and referral to other community resources; supportive counseling as appropriate utilizing Motivational Interviewing to facilitate coordination with other resources.
  • Assists individuals in the community to obtain necessary documentation for benefits and to coordinate service provision.
  • Represents Bridgeways in community and regional activities, committees, and work groups as requested.
  • Establishes liaisons and relationships with appropriate community agencies to meet necessary current and future housing needs.
Requirements
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE for Housing Specialist | Case Manager
  • 2 years experience working in a social service or behavioral health agency.
  • Experience working with adults with chronic and persistent mental health concerns.
  • Familiarity with local, state, and federal low-income housing resources, community resources and local homeless programs.
  • Knowledge of current behavioral health care practices.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal housing guidelines, trends and funding opportunities.
  • Knowledge of Landlord/Tenant law, fair housing laws, Homeless Management Information Systems, Shelter Plus Care Guidelines and community housing resources.
Preferred Qualifications/Skills:
  • Prior experience with Supported Housing, Supported Employment, Medicaid reimbursement program requirements, and case management.
  • Bachelor's degree in social science related field
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Must be able to practice empathetic listening, humility, curiosity, and self-awareness and be able to work collaboratively with people with varied personalities, disabilities, cultures, and interests while maintaining healthy boundaries. Bilingual ability may be beneficial, but not essential. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. The ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public is very important.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Proficient with PC including Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams.
  • Ability to learn and utilize electronic medical records for confidential and safe record-keeping that conforms to agency requirements.
  • Ability to efficiently manage one’s daily, weekly and monthly work schedule including in-office sessions and travel to out-of-office appointments, meetings, etc. to meet or exceed productivity standards and caseload needs.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the individual.
  • Able to work as an effective team member.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
  • Must be able to pass Background and OIG check. Convictions will not automatically disqualify you from employment with Bridgeways. We will consider the particular circumstances of each case and any additional information that can be provided.
  • Agency Affiliated Counselor Registration, or the ability to obtain registration within 90 days of hire.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a Washington State Drivers License
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Case Managers may be required to work in both a typical office setting and in the community to meet the needs of our clients.
