About the Position

The Business Analyst plays a critical role in bridging the gap between business development needs and technological solutions. The Business Analyst is responsible for understanding business processes, eliciting and analyzing requirements, and translating them into functional specifications for IT teams. The Business Analyst collaborates with various stakeholders, including business users, project managers, developers, and other IT professionals, to ensure successful implementation of IT solutions that align with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. **Requirement Gathering and Analysis:**

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand and document their needs, objectives, and processes.
• Conduct interviews, surveys, and workshops to elicit and clarify requirements.
• Analyze and prioritize requirements, ensuring they align with business goals.

2. **Documentation:**

• Create clear and comprehensive documentation, including business requirements documents (BRDs), functional specifications, use cases, and process flows.
• Ensure documentation is accessible and understandable by both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

3. **Communication and Collaboration:**

• Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams, facilitating effective communication.
• Collaborate with project managers, developers, and other team members to ensure a shared understanding of requirements and project objectives.

4. **Data Analysis:**

• Analyze and interpret data to support decision-making and identify trends.
• Work with data scientists or analysts to develop meaningful insights from data sets.

5. **Solution Design Support:**

• Assist in the design of IT solutions by providing input based on business requirements.
• Collaborate with architects and developers to ensure solutions meet business needs.

6. **Testing and Quality Assurance:**

• Collaborate with testing teams to develop test plans and scenarios based on requirements.
• Participate in testing activities to ensure the delivered solution meets specified requirements.

7. **Continuous Improvement:**

• Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the evolution of business analysis methodologies.

8. **Project Management:**

• Contribute to project planning, monitoring, and reporting.
• Assist in identifying and managing project risks and issues.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, or related field.
• Proven experience as an IT Business Analyst or in a similar role.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of business analysis methodologies and tools.
• Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC) processes.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
