Key Responsibilities:

• Maintenance and Setup: Assist in the setup, breakdown, and regular maintenance of mining equipment under the guidance of technical staff, while strictly following OSHA safety standards.
• Janitorial Duties: Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the mining facilities. Tasks include sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disposing of trash, ensuring all activities are performed in accordance with health and safety regulations.
• Inventory and Storage Management: Manage inventory levels, organize storage areas, and log equipment and supplies, ensuring that all items are stored correctly and safely according to OSHA guidelines.
• Labor and Movement: Engage in the physical movement of equipment and supplies within the facility. This includes lifting, moving, and arranging heavy items, while adhering to proper lifting techniques and safety practices.
• Technical Assistance: Learn and perform basic technical tasks related to the operation of mining equipment, under supervision, following all safety protocols.
• Support Functions: Provide support to maintenance and technical teams as needed, which may include troubleshooting minor issues under supervision while ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic mechanical understanding and skills preferred.
• Ability to perform physical labor and lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs while following safety procedures.
• Willingness to learn new skills, particularly basic tech-related tasks.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
• Preference given to candidates with above-average understanding of maintenance, electricity, networking, or programming.

Skills:

• Basic problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer skills are a plus.
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.

Job Requirements

• All appropriate licenses or permits to drive in your local area
• Ability to lift and carry 40-70 pounds
• Ability to walk long distances (from one side of the building to the other and back frequently based on need)
• Ability to withstand cold and hot temperatures
• Availability to be on call to work emergency shifts, which may include evening, nights and weekends (when needed)
• Must be able to work in a physical environment, this includes exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
• Must be comfortable wearing safety gear and adhering to all safety regulations and procedures.
