We’re looking for an Hotel Rooms Division Manager to join the team! Reporting to the General Manager, the Rooms Division Manager ensures quality standards throughout the hotel. You will be responsible for the overall operation of the hotel, such as housekeeping, front office, reservation management, associate staffing, training, record keeping, and report preparation. In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day aspects of the hotel, ensuring guest satisfaction and aiming to obtain optimum efficiency and economy of operations. You will also act as the property Manager on Duty when assigned.

Essential Duties:

  • Develop and implement strategies to ensure guest satisfaction and hotel staff efficiency.
  • Collaborate and oversee hotel departments, including housekeeping and laundry, to respond to guest inquiries and concerns.
  • Strong supervisory skills; ability to appropriately assign/delegate work and authority to others in the accomplishment of goals; provide coaching, advice and assistance as required; help employees overcome obstacles and deal with problems.
  • Able to use repetitive hand and body motions such as grasping, writing, typing, listening, hearing, and visual acuity.
  • Able to walk, including climbing stairs, and ladders, standing to a significant degree, kneeling, reaching, bending, handling machinery, lifting, feeling, talking, hearing, and see.

Specific Requirements of this role:

  • Manage the front office, housekeeping, and laundry operations, in addition to providing support to other departments in the hotel, such as food and beverage, events, and engineering.
  • Ensure all areas of the lobby and front office area are functioning to the high standards of comfort, service, and quality for our guests.
  • Manage the Property Management System and Central Reservations System.
  • Maintain departmental budget and staffing levels in relation to occupancy levels.
  • Maintain accurate payroll and employee records.
  • Manage the Accounts Receivable, City Ledger, and Guest Ledger.
  • Ensure full compliance to the hotel’s operating controls, SOP’s, policies, procedures, and service standards.
  • Ability to communicate with employees in English and Spanish
  • Act as the Manager on Duty as designated by the General Manager.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, management, or related field - or equivalent hospitality experience.
  • At least 2 years of previous team management or supervisory experience.
  • Hotel level front office and housekeeping experience required.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.
  • Experience with operating a Property Management System(s).
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
