Position Summary

The Lead, Product Brand Marketing role is an important part of Bridgestone's Integrated Agriculture Marketing Team. The role will support the marketing team in the big picture planning and day-to-day management of marketing deliverables for the Integrated Agriculture Tire business. This role reports to the Marketing Director for Integrated Agriculture.
The role will lead Product Marketing, trade show support for large annual shows and smaller customer shows, our partnership with Future Farmers of America, as well as Sell-Out supporting Channel Programs. This position requires strong collaboration with Sales, Pricing and Programming, Product Strategy, the Marketing Center of Excellence, and our agency partner teams to be successful in ultimately driving profitable volume with a consistent customer and farmer experience across all touchpoints.

Responsibilities

  • Develops annual marketing plan for Firestone Ag, establishes objectives, works with our agencies and Marketing Center of Excellence to build plans that deliver against the business objectives
  • Leads Product Marketing, including establishing the development and execution of value propositions, collaborating with product strategy, field engineering, and product engineering on product testing plans; participates in New Product Process working team meetings representing marketing; successfully manages agency partner for Product Marketing
  • Leads the creative agency; influences the global brand platform, media, and PR/Communications agency in collaboration with the Marketing Center of Excellence
  • Leads development of channel programs to drive profitable volume and sell-out of Firestone and Regency brands
  • Collaborates with the Marketing Center of Excellence on two major trade shows supporting the US Agriculture business: Commodity Classic and Farm Progress, establishing objectives and ensuring the design and set up deliver on those objectives
  • Leads partnership between Future Farmers of America and Firestone Agriculture; includes annual support through social media, trade shows, scholarships, and brand activations including Rock the Crop concert

What the Candidate can expect to gain from this role:

  • In the first month: You will understand Bridgestone’s North Star vision and the Bridgestone E8 Commitment and how your role and our team help deliver on that vision; you will fully onboard to our marketing team and agency partners with whom you’ll work.
  • In the first 90 days: You will transition to ownership of our product marketing work, will be an expert in creative brand guidelines, and have a great understanding of our customers and products.
  • In the first 6 months: You will become a go to resource for the Integrated Agriculture leadership team and sales team. You’ll be confident adjusting plans based on changing business dynamics. You’ll establish a clear development plan for yourself and have regular connections with your manager on your progress toward your development goals.
  • Ongoing: You will have the opportunity to network within the broader marketing organization as well as across different business units and disciplines in Bridgestone. You will join a team with a culture of coaching, development, and empowerment. We look forward to investing in you!

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred
  • 8-10 years of business and marketing experience
  • Demonstrates a bias for action in all areas of work; shows serious commitment to accountability and ownership, and a strong work ethic
  • Ability to manage multiple and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communicator, both oral and written
  • Ability to manage through ambiguity and demonstrate an innovative approach to solving problems
  • Ability to integrate information from multiple sources to arrive at conclusions and drive action
  • Experience working with and influencing cross-functional teams, preferably in large matrix organizations
  • Ability to plan and manage at both the strategic and operational levels
