We are looking for an enthusiastic bartender to provide an excellent guest drinking experience. Good bartenders will be able to create classic and custom drinks exceeding customers’ needs and expectations. Compensation includes competitive hourly rate and tips. This would be great first bartending gig for a student of the craft.

Responsibilities

• Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patrons
• Interact with customers, take orders and serve snacks and drinks
• Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
• Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails and prep for cocktails
• Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age
• Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
• Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
• Comply with all food and beverage regulations
• Open and close the bar to the companies standards
• Uphold all health department regulations on your shift
• Deep clean bar when needed

Skills

• Resume and proven working experience as a bartender
• Excellent knowledge of in mixing, garnishing and serving drinks
• Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
• Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean
• Ability to follow direction of management and head office
• Understanding of basic hospitality culture
• Ability to learn quickly and multitask at the highest level
• Able to work in a fast paced high volume environment
• Ability to keep ego in check and understand you are part of a team

Requirements

• Certification of Food Safety and Handling in Jefferson County
• Wear nonslip shoes while inside the building
• Open availability or at least 4 shifts a week
• Proven hospitality experience and a self-starter
• Follow policies and procedures set by head office and implemented by managers in store
• Have your own form of reliable transportation to and from work daily

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
