The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) holds a pivotal role within the organization, providing strategic financial leadership and guidance to ensure the company's financial health and sustainability. Reporting directly to the CEO, the CFO oversees all financial activities, including financial planning and analysis, budgeting, accounting, treasury, taxation, and risk management. The CFO plays a crucial role in driving profitability, optimizing capital structure, and enhancing shareholder value.

Responsibilities

Financial Strategy Development:

Develop and execute the company's financial strategy aligned with overall business objectives. Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO regarding financial planning, budgeting, cash flow, and investment priorities.

Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A):

Lead the FP&A function to provide accurate and timely financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting. Analyze financial performance, identify key drivers, and provide insights to support decision-making processes.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

Oversee the budgeting process and develop long-term financial forecasts. Monitor variances between actual and budgeted financial results and implement corrective actions as necessary.

Financial Reporting:

Ensure compliance with financial reporting standards and regulations. Prepare and present financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, to stakeholders, management, and external parties.

Capital Management:

Optimize the company's capital structure by managing capital allocation, debt financing, and equity issuance. Evaluate investment opportunities and assess their financial viability and risk.

Risk Management:

Identify and assess financial risks, including market, credit, liquidity, and operational risks. Develop risk mitigation strategies and internal controls to safeguard the company's assets and interests.

Treasury Management:

Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to support operational needs and investment requirements. Monitor banking relationships, negotiate financing agreements, and oversee cash management activities.

Tax Planning and Compliance:

Develop tax strategies to optimize the company's tax position while ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations. Coordinate with external tax advisors to minimize tax liabilities and maximize tax efficiency.

Leadership and Team Management:

Provide strong leadership to the finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Mentor and develop finance professionals to build a high-performing team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred
  • Proven experience in senior financial leadership roles, preferably as CFO or equivalent

  • Deep understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex financial data to drive strategic decisions

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across functions
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to anticipate and mitigate financial risks and capitalize on opportunities
  • Results-oriented mindset with a track record of driving financial performance and value creation
  • Proficiency in financial management systems, ERP software, and Microsoft Excel
  • Integrity, ethics, and professionalism in all aspects of financial management and decision-making
