Primary Function
Under the supervision of the Director of Operations, oversees operational and logistical activities associated with management of assigned bases, staff, and vehicles.
Roles and Responsibility
Provides direct day-to-day oversight, scheduling and support of field operations staff, vehicles and bases.
Inspects and maintain professional appearance of shift crews following organizational uniform policy.
Assist Fleet coordinating scheduled preventative maintenance of vehicles by supporting with the resource management.
Manages and approves operational payroll.
Scheduling upkeep of daily and weekly staffing patterns and attendance including PTO.
Processing daily punch discrepancies and remediating employees when applicable.
Provide resource/staff reporting.
Meet resource/staffing KPI standards.
Performs in-house inspections and assists with corrections (OSHA, Building Codes, etc.).
Inspect crew areas, garages, bathrooms, supply areas, etc. for cleanliness and maintenance of property.
Ensure that shift crews adhere to base duties as well as company policies and procedures.
Document all identified crew complaints, corrective action, and follow up working with Operations Manager(s) for review.
Monitor and ensure sync report compliance including Quality Assurance review of completed PCRs and remediation of applicable employees.
Foster and maintain an on-going culture of safety and customer service.
Cultivate a professional relationship while interfacing with crews, communications, other supervisors, customers and patients.
Motivate, coach, and support orientation of new employees to acquire the skills and knowledge of Brewster Ambulance policies and procedures.
Monitors, corrects, and follows up on atypical call times, including delayed responses, out-of-chute, clear times, and total call times.
Responds to and manages incidents including company vehicle crashes, patient injuries, stretcher tips, etc. including appropriate administrative and disciplinary follow-up.
Complete end of shift reports identifying shift activity and unusual occurrences.
In accordance with policies and procedures, issues discipline and corrective action/remediation as appropriate.
Responsibilities require Monday – Friday work week and may include nights, weekends, and holidays depending on specific assignments and special events.
Additional duties as assigned by Operations Coordinators.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Minimum of high school education
CPR certification
Valid driver’s license
Must be able to read, speak, and write English
Skills
Ability to delegate multiple tasks in an orderly and calm manner.
Ability to educate team members in company policies.
Excellent communication skills.
Must be able to work in weather conditions of geographical region.
