Brevard Orthopaedic Specialists is Hiring a Medical Receptionist Near Melbourne, FL

About us

We are professional, customer-centric and fast-paced Foot & Ankle Orthopedic Practice. Knowing Athena and insurance will be a plus. For now, the request will be for Part-Time, but may go to Full -Time in the future.

Medical Receptionist

Duties:
- Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate department or staff member
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Verify patient information and insurance coverage
- Collect co-pays and payments for services rendered
- Maintain patient records and update as necessary
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Ensure the waiting area is clean and organized

Experience:
- Previous experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting is preferred
- Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures
- Proficient in using phone systems and computer software for scheduling and record keeping
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

This position requires the ability to handle a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, strong customer service skills, and the ability to multitask effectively.
