A prestigious healthcare system is searching for Emergency Department Registered Nurses for one of its community hospitals in Northwestern Connecticut. In this role, you will be an essential member of the patient care team and responsible for the delivery of direct patient care utilizing the nursing process. You will triage patients, assess symptoms, plan interventions, implement treatment plans, evaluate responses to interventions, and revise care plans based on overall effectiveness. Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct patient care in a 35-bed Emergency Department.
• Gather and interpret data through history taking and physical assessments and plan interventions to meet patients’ needs.
• Document care provided and the patient’s progress toward desired outcomes.
• Educate patients and families about the care plan and how to manage their care after discharge.
• Administer medications to patients as directed.

Qualifications:

• An ADN is required, and a BSN is preferred.
• Active RN license.
• 1 years of ED experience is preferred.

Additional info:

• Full-time or part-time, permanent position
• 24-36 hours/week
• Multiple shifts available, days, evenings, and nights.
• Pay; $35-57 /hr., depending on experience, differentials.
