Job Summary:

To assist and support FoodApplication Lab activities in general, within the scope of conducting productdevelopment work and experiments, production for tradeshows, technical servicerequests, sample quality control analysis, and other assignments as directed bythe Application Lab Manager. Types of food application include but not limitedto: baking, prepared foods, confectionery, dairy applications, alternativemeats, soups, sauces, snacks.

Job Description:

• Conduct all job functions in a safe and efficient manner all the time by adhering to SOP’s and safety guidelines.
• Work closely with Food Scientist in conducting product development activities.
• Preparation of ingredients and samples for experiments, customer samples, trade shows and other project related activities
• Follow written instructions concisely and weigh materials accurately.
• Perform multiple lab activities simultaneously and meet tight project completion in a fast-paced environment.
• Perform and maintain accurate physical and electronic records of lab work to ensure traceability.
• Utilize computer systems to order raw materials, create labels, and develop ingredient statements.
• Manage inventory (monitor, notify manager and order) of ingredients, lab supplies, packaging & labeling supplies, other related supplies needed to complete projects.
• Help with getting supplies from local stores as needed and when needed.
• Organize and maintain lab area in a clean and functional state, including washing dishes, cleaning counters and floors, general cleaning and organizing.
• Perform maintenance and calibration of equipment on daily/weekly basis.
• Perform additional related duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
• Help conduct lab tours as needed.
• Help prepare for and potentially travel to and support in-person our involvement at tradeshows.
