Breathe SoCal programs provide patient education programs to those with lung disease (including families whose children have asthma), as well as educational programs aimed at tobacco and vaping prevention, improving air quality, and promoting zero-emission vehicles. The organization also conducts advocacy and community programs, particularly in disadvantaged communities, to increase public awareness of air pollution and promote solutions that will achieve clean air for all.

Breathe SoCal is also developing two young professional networks, Young Professionals for Sustainability (YPS) and Young Professionals in Public Health (YPPH).
