BreakThrough Physical Therapy is Hiring a Pediatric Occupational Therapist - Part-time Near Cary, NC
Overview
Breakthrough Pediatric Therapy is hiring! We have openings for a part-time Pediatric Occupational Therapist with pediatric experience in our Cary, NC pediatric outpatient clinic. Afterschool/evening hours are our time of highest demand. This position is currently Tuesday/Wednesday afternoon/evenings but can be modified to fit an ideal candidate.

BreakThrough Pediatric Therapy emphasizes a strong evidence-based care clinical model and a focus on clinical excellence, customer service and compassionate care designed to get patients better, faster. We are currently looking for an energetic pediatric OT to join our team of pediatric PTs and OTs. Treatments will take place in our clinic as well as off site at patient’s homes, daycares and ABA Center. Our current needs are for 1-2 mornings a week and 1-2 evenings a week.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $40 per visit
Compensation will be base on experience.Responsibilities
Essential Functions for Occupational Therapist Position:
- Instructs, motivates, and assists our young patients to increase their functioning using a fun playful approach.
- Educates parents and empowers them to work with their children effectively at home
- Timely documentation
- Observes patients during treatments and compiles and evaluates data on patients’ responses to treatment and progress and reports orally or in writing to Pediatric Physical Therapist.
- Confers with members of physical therapy staff and other health team members, individually and in conference, to exchange, discuss, and evaluate patient information for planning, modifying, and coordinating treatment programs.
Qualifications
Required Experience and Skills for Pediatric Occupational Therapist Position:
- Current North Carolina OT License
- Minimum 1-2 years pediatric experience but will consider new grad with strong outpatient pediatric fieldwork experience with referral from CI (Course Instructor)
- Team player with enthusiasm for growth of our OT program and teaching children.
