We are looking for an IT Network Security Engineer to join our growing Information Technology (IT) team. The Information Technology (IT) Security Operations team is focused on securing infrastructure and endpoint systems, data centers, and the integrity and confidentiality of company data. The IT Network Security Engineer is on the front line of this effort, helping the organization understand and react to advanced cyber threats through strong technical, organizational, and communication skills. The IT Network Security Engineer will work as part of a team to identify and remediate vulnerabilities, mitigate risks, and harden the company’s security posture supporting system- and network-related security initiatives. The successful candidate will possess a broad range of technical experience, collaboration skills, and a customer service orientation, as the role requires interfacing and coordinating efforts with other Information Technology teams, third-party vendors, and business functions.
Responsibilities

• Establish standards for secure configurations of, and regularly assess the penetrability of network perimeter equipment (e.g., firewalls, routers, switches, and wireless access points, etc.) based on industry best practice guidelines
• Set standards for, and support IT Operations teams through the configuration, operation (monitoring), and maintenance of IT security tools and software (SIEM, network scanners, logging and alerting software, etc.)
• Observe equipment logs and monitoring systems for indicators of attack (IOA) or compromise (IOC)
• Conduct network risk assessments and recommend mitigations for identified vulnerabilities
• Provide regular network vulnerability reporting to Security Operations Management and the CISO
• Support internal and third-party cybersecurity support teams during cybersecurity incident and data breach response exercises (table-top planning) and actual events
• Produce and maintain operating procedures and other security-related, technical documentation
• Support the IT Governance team in developing, documenting, and testing network security policies and procedures based on relevant regulatory requirements and industry best practice frameworks
• Provide professional development of junior staff as a mentor and coach, as well as providing technical guidance as an escalation point 
• 10% global travel may be required for this role Qualifications
