San Diego Wave Ftbol Club is on a mission to build a world class home for players and fans. We are seeking a dynamic, forward-thinking Graphic Designer with a background in visual storytelling and brand building. The individual in this role will assist with the development and production of all club branded materials. The ideal candidate will be imaginative in thinking, collaborative in process, and innovative in approach while producing assets across all club touchpoints. The candidate will work within the larger Marketing group to engage both existing and prospective fans with the goal of driving fandom and delivering on business objectives.
This is a full-time role in San Diego, California. Depending upon education, skill set, and experience, the annual base salary range is $70,000 - $80,000.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in planning and creation for all design initiatives, including marketing materials, advertising campaigns, digital and social, in-stadium signage, corporate partnership assets, ticketing, and merchandise, among others
• Collaborate with Graphic Design Manager to help maintain brand integrity across all club touchpoints
• Create visual identities for club campaigns, events, and programs
• Lead a variety of design projects from creative brief to finished output
• Contribute to the marketing team's overall strategy and success in both team and cross-department meetings
• Assist with real-time creation of graphics for coverage on match days
• Provide creative thinking to help solve business problems for a variety of stakeholders
• Adapt quickly as business needs evolve.

QUALIFIED?

• 1-2 years relevant work experience, preferably for a professional/collegiate sports property
• Proficient knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office
• Portfolio must demonstrate a good eye for composition, creativity, and color usage
• Proven ability to interact and brainstorm concepts within a team setting
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends when needed
• Well organized with ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
• Great communicator, professional in presentation and able to work with multiple stakeholders and personalities
• A good understanding of print production processes
• Good problem-solving and organizational skills
• Working knowledge of soccer and familiarity with the National Women's Soccer League
• Copywriting experience
• Capable of lifting 50 lbs.
• Exceptional at building relationships both internally and externally.
• Professional, positive, and proactive.
