The Cook prepares palatable and proper-portioned food for all residents and guests in accordance with production sheets, standardized recipes, preparation methods, portion control, time schedules and sanitary standards as well as serving procedures. Must always strive for highest level of resident satisfaction. Holds direct responsibilities and supervision over the sanitation and personal hygiene of the dietary facilities and staff. Strives to keep staff morale at the highest level. Upholds all policies and procedures and supervises all staff equally. Must be able to read, write and follow written and verbal directions, and be able to do basic math calculations needed in recipe and production requirements.
- Should have the ability to follow diet instructions and menus, know basic methods of preparing food in quantities, and are familiar with seasoning requirements.
- Must know how to operate kitchen equipment and use utensils to greatest advantage.
- Must have Serve Safe certification, or similar qualification within 12 months of starting employment at Brandermill Woods
