Reports To: Chief Corporate Affairs Officer

Job Summary

The Vice President, Corporate Affairs is responsible for leading corporate communications and corporate events for Brand USA.

Essential Functions

  • Develop and lead day-to-day corporate communications and corporate events teams and operations.
  • Develop, execute, and lead integrated reputation management and stakeholder engagement strategy and goals.
  • Responsible for managing communications and events platforms to engage industry, staff, board, and government stakeholders strategically and consistently in a streamlined and structured manner.
  • Develop and manage global budget and vendors and track consistent and meaningful results.
  • Responsible for driving efficiencies and creating organizational and stakeholder value across an integrated annual cycle of planning, production, communication, and reporting.
  • Work collaboratively across the organization to foster a culture of inclusion and clear communication. 
  • Oversee staff and managers, including coaching, training, developing, motivating, evaluating, and providing timely and appropriate feedback; practice inclusive management practices that result in high levels of engagement and belonging; provide alignment on priorities and high-level oversight; work with Director, Human Resources & Administration to administer discipline up to and including termination.
  • Responsible for recruiting, selection, orienting, and training department employees.
  • Report to work on a regular basis and is available for occasional after-hours emergency calls and projects.

Additional Responsibilities

  • May be asked to perform additional duties not listed in the job description as required by business needs.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, political science or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in communications.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills.
  • Proven track record of successfully setting and executing the strategic direction and plan for a function.
  • Ability to collaborate and influence across the organization and externally with key stakeholders.
  • Ability to foster an inclusive environment and leverage diversity.
  • Ability to develop end-to-end solutions to highly complex, unique problems.
  • Ability to set standards and establish policies.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Dedicated remote work area that is quiet enough for employee to concentrate is required. Must have homeowner’s or renter’s insurance and the ability to comply with company technology, safety, and health requirements.
  • Ability to travel on occasion as required to attend meetings and/or events.
  • Ability to frequently operate a computer and other office productivity machinery.
  • Ability to lift up to twenty (20) pounds.
  • Ability to perform the essential functions with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • May require more than forty (40) hours per week to perform the essential duties of the position.

SCHEDULE

Brand USA’s business hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Our standard work hours may vary based upon position requirements. Additional hours may be required during peak times, which may require an adjusted work schedule, overtime, and evening/weekend hours in order to meet deadlines.
