Description:

The Software Test Engineer applies a detail-oriented approach to functional and non-functional testing, is capable of comprehending and reviewing requirements and specifications in order to properly plan testing accordingly, instinctively understands how to communicate and reproduce test results, and applies their thorough understanding of user needs and use cases to prioritize testing appropriately. Software Test Engineers are a vital part of ensuring the quality of all product and solution deliverables, working both as a part of the delivery team and within the QA functional team under the leadership of BN’s head of software test..

• Review requirements specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
• Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases
• Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities
• Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs
• Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved

Requirements:

• BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related professional experience
• Familiarity with web-based software development
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
• Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
• Rational, analytical, and logical with strong troubleshooting skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must
• Experience with automated testing tools is a plus
• Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus
• Be a team player, looking to collaborate with cross-functional teams
