We have an opening for a Full-Time Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable – Specialist in our North Brunswick office. In this role, the AP/AR Specialist plays an integral part in the finance department by processing check requests from various vendors and recording cash receipts in the form of checks and ACH on a timely basis. The successful candidate is proactive, attentive to detail, able to multi-task and take direction.

Qualifications:

  • 2 years’ experience in AP/AR with High School Diploma or equivalent OR

  • 1 years’ experience in AP/AR with associate degree in accounting or related discipline OR

  • Recent grad with a bachelor’s degree in accounting

Accounts Payable:

  • Review AP vouchers for proper signatures, support documentation, and GL/Dept. codes.
  • Create new vendors as required, evaluate 1099 status, and maintain vendor records/archival.
  • Enter AP vouchers into Abila – MIP system and issue checks.
  • Proactively monitor outstanding checks and work with requestors to ensure checks are deposited.
  • Review and accrue monthly Staff T&E reimbursement in ClickTime.
  • Monitor business credit card transactions, ensure proper support, and record in system.
  • Maintain records and worksheets for annual audit.

Accounts Receivable

  • Input bank deposits and ACH payments into Abila-MIP
  • Maintain Deposit/ACH Excel worksheets
  • Generate invoices for various annual fundraising events.
  • Monitor uncollected AR invoices and work with staff to collect payments.
  • Other departmental duties as required.
