Position Overview: As a Dairy and Frozen Foods Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the operations of the dairy and frozen foods department within the retail setting of a grocery store. You will be responsible for ensuring quality and freshness of dairy and frozen foods products while providing excellent customer service. You will be driving labor efficiency, sales and gross profit margins in alignment with the store. RESPONSIBILITIES:Builds and maintains customer satisfaction with the product and services offered by the company. Maintain a clean, happy, full, fresh and clean departmentMaintain sales floor, preparation, equipment and storage areas that are clean, orderly and meeting company and health department standards at all timesTrain and supervise dairy and frozen foods department staff ensuring adherence to established procedures and customer service standardsConducting regular safety training for dairy and frozen foods department staffProvide ongoing feedback, performance evaluations and training opportunities for all dairy and frozen foods employees Monitor inventory levels, ordering products such as but not limited to various products to maintain a diverse and stocked selectionEnsure that all products meet quality and safety standardsEnsure that all products are rotated properly utilizing first in first out methodHandle customer inquiries, concerns and special requests in a prompt and professional mannerOversee the cleaning and maintenance of the dairy and frozen food work areasCommunicate with store management regarding inventory, sales and any issues within the departmentImplement and execute best practices to minimize profit losses and maximize overall store profitCoach teammates in need of performance improvement within the dairy and frozen foods department.Adhere to all company safety standardsPerform other duties as assigned by leadershipEnvironment:Ability to work in varying temperature-controlled environments. Schedule:Weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed. Experience:Preferred: One (1) year dairy management or dairy sales experience Skills:Physical abilities: May be required to lift up to 80-85lbs.; standing, bending, lifting and twisting for up to 90% of your shift; frequently lifting product from various heights including floor level to over your head; Ability to stand or walk at least 10 hours daily; working in various temperature controlled environments; walking on a variety of flooring such as concrete, tile, carpet etcStrong communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with peers and leaders on a daily basisOrganizational Skills: Ability to fulfill customer orders in a timely manner; ability to prioritize and meet deadlinesWorking in a team based environment: Working independently and as a team player to ensure our customers are receiving orders timely and with the highest quality Quality: Maintain integrity and high standards of product handling from all perspectivesSafety Culture: Maintain and drive safety policies; driving for accountability of safe practices throughout shift
