Front Desk Attendant at our Wanskuck Branch, 550 Branch Avenue in Providence. This job starts on June 24, 2024. Hours for the summer are Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 12:00 Noon. There may also be an opportunity to continue working during the school year, after the summer, if mutually agreeable. Looking for a customer-service-oriented multi-tasker for a busy youth organization. Run front desk check-in and sign-out point for children, parents/guardians and visitors, following organization's policies and procedures. Monitor security for front door entrance (operate buzzer access system). Perform daily data entry for program attendance and new enrollments. Answer phone; answer or direct inquiries. Provide program information to children, teens and their family adults. Assist with billing for childcare services and other programs. Distribute bills; receive and process payments.

Required: high school diploma, at least one year of Front Desk/Reception or related work experience, customer-service skills, handling payments (checks and credit cards), good verbal and written skills, ability to maintain calm and positive demeanor while multi-tasking, welcoming and positive attitude with children, ability to successfully resolve conflicts, flexibility, teamwork. Preferred: ability to speak and understand Spanish a strong plus; prior work experience in a youth organization a strong plus.

Must be able to be cleared for employment per organizational policies through national, state and local criminal background checks, child abuse and sex offender registry checks, fingerprinting, drug test (for illegal drugs), reference checks, employment verifications, etc.
