Salary Range: $42,000 - $50,000
Position Summary: Responsible for overseeing the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of a specific program for youth between the ages of 6 and 18 within a designated Club. Program responsibility supports our priority outcome areas of Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles, Character & Leadership. The Club Coordinator also provides leadership and supervision to assigned program and volunteer staff; assists with facility-related issues, data entry, and overall recruitment. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Leadership
Oversee the implementation and delivery of operations, programs, services and activities that facilitate achievement of Youth Development Outcomes.
Maintain close contact and interact regularly with Club Manager, Lead YDC, and other Club staff.
Allocate and monitor work assigned to program volunteers and interns, providing ongoing feedback and regular appraisal.
Oversee proper record keeping and reporting including activities and events conducted, breakdowns of daily participation figures, notable achievements and any problems/issues.
Program Development and Implementation
Establish and maintain Club program goals and settings that insure the health and safety of members. Ensure that Club staff understand and effectively communicate standards of program; that they ensure program areas are safe, well ventilated and well lit; and that club equipment is maintained in good working condition.
Ensure the evaluation of Club programs on a continual basis and ensures programs/activities respond to member needs and address their gender and cultural diversity.
Ensure that all grant-related programs are facilitated successfully, and numbers & reporting criteria are met.
Training and Development
Provide direction, supervision and professional development support to Club staff and adult volunteers.
Marketing and Public Relations
Participate in activities and associations to maintain public trust in Club programs, services, and activities.
Increase visibility of Club programs via posting of daily schedule, announcements of upcoming events, etc.
Strategic Planning
Ensure that all Club staff/volunteers strive to meet BGCMB mission and understand organizational policies & procedures, Action Plan 2021 and Designing Our Future Strategic Plan.
Resource Management
Ensure the completion of required reports in compliance with BGCA and other entities; and prepare required interagency reports.
Partnership Development
Support Club Manager with collaborative partnerships and maintain contact with other youth serving organizations, schools, and community organizations.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
A minimum of four years' work experience in youth development and supervision, or an equivalent combination of experience and education
Considerable knowledge of: the mission, objectives, policies, programs and procedures of Boys & Girls Clubs; and the principles and practices of nonprofit organizations
Demonstrated ability to organize, direct and coordinate operations; in personnel supervision, and ability to recruit and retain key personnel
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Club staff, subordinates, community groups, and other related agencies
