The Boys & Girls Clubs of Capistrano Valley are a world-class afterschool nonprofit organization offering quality programs for academic success and healthy lifestyles while building good character and leadership skills in our members. The Branch Director leads that effort and serves as a positive role model for others to emulate.
Our mission is “to inspire and enable all youth to reach their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens by providing stimulating and challenging programs through interaction with dedicated, caring people.” We provide a safe place to learn and grow, ongoing relationships with caring, adult professionals, life-enhancing programs and character development experiences, hope, and opportunity. In every community, boys and girls are left to find their own recreation and companionship in the streets. An increasing number of children are at home with no adult care or supervision. Young people need to know that someone cares about them. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Capistrano Valley offers that and more. We are truly “the positive place for kids and teens in Orange County”.
Under the supervision of the Area Director, the Branch Director directs and manages overall daily operations of the designated BGCCV Branch with the primary concern for programs and service delivery, supervision and training of staff, facilities management, community relationships and membership administration. Safety is the #1 priority as the Branch Director.

RELATIONSHIPS:
Internal: Due to the relationships with members, staff, and volunteers, a minimum of 2 years’ commitment is recommended. Maintains close, daily contact with Club staff (professional and volunteer), Club members, and supervisor to receive/provide information, discuss issues, explain or interpret guidelines/instructions; instruct; and advise/counsel.
External: Maintains contact as needed with external community groups, schools, members’ parents and others to assist in resolving problems.
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Use of hands and upper extremities to type and operate computers.
2. Manual dexterity to repair equipment.
3. Ability to lift 25-50 pounds.
4. Ability to sit, stand and walk to supervise members.
5. Noise level in work environment varies from quiet to very noisy based on attendance.
6. Supervision of large, medium, and small groups is required. BGCCV staff ratio is 1 adult per 20 members.
