SUMMARY: The Sanitation Specialist will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment in the childcare center. They will ensure that all sanitation standards are met and adhered to, in accordance with health and safety regulations

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Regularly clean and sanitize all areas of the childcare center, including play areas, bathrooms, kitchen, and outdoor spaces.
• Ensure all toys and equipment are sanitized and safe for use.
• Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies as needed.
• Dispose of waste in a safe and sanitary manner.
• Follow all health and safety regulations and procedures.
• Report any safety hazards or issues to the center director.
• Assist with other duties as required.

Requirements

· High school diploma or equivalent.

· Previous experience in a cleaning or sanitation role, preferably in a childcare or educational setting.

· Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies.

· Understanding of sanitation regulations and standards.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Strong attention to detail.

· Physical stamina and ability to lift moderate weights.

· Must pass a background check and have a clean criminal record.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

WORK ENVIRONMENT
