The Shipping Associate ensures products are correctly identified and carefully packaged for delivery Boyd Industries’ Customers. The associate is expected to inspect items for correctness and ensure accuracy in each step of the shipping process. The associate will also cross train in the Receiving Department and act as coverage and back-up for the Receiving Clerk as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
 Analyze orders for accuracy. Pick products from multiple warehouse locations.
 Cleans and inspects items for noticeable damage and flaws in workmanship.
 Processes company shipping documents and interacts with logistic company drivers to assure product cartons are loaded and positioned in order to eliminate potential for damage.
 Prepare orders for shipping by bubble wrapping, foaming, shrink wrapping, and packing items in proper boxes and containers per company and customer specifications.

Receiving

• Verifies items received by checking identifying information of items; inspecting condition of items; comparing count/measure of items to purchase order and packing list.
• Counts or weighs, sorts, incoming goods to verify receipt of items against shipping notice.
• Records and checks quality and quantity of goods received for conformity to purchase orders and specifications. May inspect, accept, or reject goods received.
• Input stock and special-order items into computer system and assigned location in/or around the warehouse.

Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour
