Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced heavy civil Estimator to join our construction team. As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in determining project costs and ensuring accurate and competitive bids. Your expertise in construction estimating and project management will contribute to the success of our projects.
Duties:
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to prepare accurate cost estimates.
- Conduct site visits to assess project scope and identify potential challenges or opportunities.
- Utilize software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to create detailed cost breakdowns and estimates.
- Develop comprehensive bid proposals that outline pricing, timelines, and project deliverables.
- Monitor project costs throughout the construction process to ensure adherence to budget.
Skills:
- 5 years of heavy civil construction estimating on foundations, earthwork, detention ponds, marine work, levees, roads, concrete, and utilities.
- Average project size of $1-$30 million.
- Proficient in Heavy Bid and Microsoft Excel.
