Position Overview

This position supports the Concrete Lab Supervisor in the testing of concrete and masonry.

Key Responsibilities

• Strength testing concrete and masonry

• Concrete mix batching

• Prepare materials for mix design evaluation

• Other duties as directed by the CMT Laboratory Manager and/or Assistant Laboratory Manager

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or GED

• ACI certifications are preferred but not required

• Laboratory experience is preferred but not required

• Clean driving record with no more than two driving violations in the last 36 months

Skills and Abilities

• Demonstrated flexibility and willingness to modify personal schedule as required to meeting deadlines

• Basic math and computer skills required

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Job Type

• Full-time, M-F 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

• Overtime is routinely required

Physical Requirements

Physical Ability

• Stand, walk, push, pull, twist, reach overhead, bending, crawling, climbing; lift minimum of 80 pounds

Visual Ability

• Visual accommodation necessary for reading instructions/materials necessary to perform functions of job

Hearing Ability

• Ability to monitor sounds for changes in machine function

Work Conditions

• Work exposes the employee to laboratory testing devices, dust, soil and other external environment factors
