Job Title: Operations Supervisor

Reports To: General Manager

SUMMARY: To provide input to the General Manager on all Center operations as well as handle regular counter control duties. This position is the key position in the Center

Operation in the absence of the General Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following.

• Performs Counter Control duties as assigned, including lane-to-lane solicitation and special promotions
• Assists in training of new hourly employees
• Provides work direction to other employees on required tasks
• Ensures customers receive prompt, efficient, courteous service. Provides friendly, courteous, polite, and helpful customer service
• Ensures that maximum utilization of lanes and equipment is realized through efficient control of the flow of customers
• Handles complaints, using judgment as to which ones to refer to management
• Assists management in conducting special events, bowling promotions, etc
• Maintains and analyzes required forms and reports for management; updates perpetual records
• Assists in preparation of financial records in relation to daily center operation
• Ensures appropriate security in the center
• Utilizes proper cash handling techniques, per Company procedures
• Closes and opens center upon direction of management
• Directs work of center personnel and assumes these responsibilities in their absence
• Assists in writing performance reviews
• Assists in scheduling of center personnel
• Assists in maintenance on inventory levels
• Maintains safe work environment
• Associates with customers to determine additional service needed
• Makes P/A announcements and displays for bowler achievements
• Assists in all departments to provide optimum customer service
• Conducts department meetings

• Provides safe environment for customers
• Interviews and assists in hiring decisions within center
• Provides performance feedback to direct reports
• Ability to work varying shifts, weekends and holidays, as well as, extended workdays to support business needs.
• Other duties may be assigned.

If applicable at their particular center, the employee MAY also be asked to perform the following duties:

• Provides ball fitting service for center
• Develops and directs tournaments
• Restocks vending machines
• Empties, counts, and records monies from vending machines
• Sells Pro Shop merchandise; promotes Pro Shop sales through display and advertising
• Repairs pinsetter malfunctions as needed

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: n/a

QUALIFICATIONS: The Operations Supervisor possess a highly developed sense of customer service and interpersonal skills including high integrity, respect for all individuals

(customers, vendors, and employees), solid communication skills, strong critical and analytical thinking skills, and appreciation of diversity (thought, ethnic, gender, etc.).

The Operations Supervisor must be a strong team player and people developer.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or equivalent. Bowling center experience or retail experience required. Supervisory experience preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/ PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Bowling center environment where you will walk, bend and stand for periods of time, and may lift objects with some assistance. The noise level is typical for bowling.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38 – 40 per week
