A leading telecommunications company in the radio and marketing industry is searching for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join their team in Mishawaka, IN! Reporting directly to the CFO, the Staff Accountant will be responsible for a variety of financial tasks that include financial reporting, general ledger maintenance, account reconciliation, budget preparation, financial analysis, and purchasing while providing financial insights to help with strategic decision-making and improve operations. The position offers a hybrid work model with 2 days work from home along with a friendly, laid-back work culture and great benefits!

Salary Range: $50, 000 - $55, 000 / year DOE

Staff Accountant Requirements:

• 1 to 5 years of progressive experience in related financial positions
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and email communication
• Intermediate Excel skills including formulas and report generation
• Practical experience with General Ledger and Financial Reporting preferred
• Knowledge of the radio/media/marketing industry and Great Plains software is a plus
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field is preferred
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Staff Accountant Responsibilities:

• Perform financial reporting and analysis for all seven company entities within Federated Media
• Manage month-end procedures including the preparation of host files and monthly reports
• Post recurring journal entries and oversee prepaid expenses and fixed asset accounting
• Handle notes payable and receivable, as well as the preparation of financial statements
• Assist in the budgeting process by creating and establishing operating and capital budgets
• Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management processes
• Analyze monthly account reconciliations and prepare ad hoc financial analysis as required
