Boutique Recruiting is Hiring an AP Specialist Near Galveston, TX

An industry leading construction company headquartered in Galveston, Texas is seeking an APSpecialist to join their dynamic team. They are looking for someone with 2 years of AP experience in any industry, who is brilliant with Quickbooks and has a knack for analyzing invoices for discrepancies.
The company you will be working for has a strong reputation for excellence in their field, especially when it comes to tackling enormously challenging projects. Pay Range: $50,000 - $60,000 DOE
Responsibilities:

  • Review and verify invoices and payments (ACH, wire, etc.)
  • Prepare payments via ACH, wire, or check
  • Enter and track all payments in QuickBooks (transitioning to an ERP system soon)
  • Work with Project Accountants to verify invoices or address discrepancies
  • Audit and review vendor invoices for accuracy and report discrepancies to the VP
  • Maintain organized records of payments, invoices, project reports, and other financial documents
  • Coordinate with Project Accountants to track vendor payments and ensure timely processing of invoices
  • Take on small projects, such as natural disaster relief projects
Requirements:
  • 2 years of AP accounting experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Business or Admin/Finance
  • Knowledge of GAAP
  • Strong professional communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Project Accounting software experience and QuickBooks experience
  • Strong MS Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
