The Boulders Resort and Spa is a large, high-end resort that spans an impressive 33,000 sq. ft. Offering a luxurious spa, championship golf, and exclusive service in a uniquely dramatic setting - 1,300 acres of the Sonoran Desert foothills with panoramic views of 12 million year old boulder formations. If that wasn't enough, our stylish restaurants offer captivating views from every turn and we are looking to expand our Catering/Conference Services team. The Boulders Resort and Spa is part of the Hilton Curio Collection.
Job Description:
The Executive Meeting Manager will be actively soliciting and servicing of business for the hotel. The EMM must be comfortable prospecting, qualifying, selling and closing hotel group business while ensuring booked groups are in compliance with property policy while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency. He/She will maintain guest satisfaction and meet or exceed overall profitability objectives.
Responsibilities:
  • Actively prospect, qualify, sell and service meetings and event business
  • Must be able to engage customers, analyzes their needs, and create compelling proposals.
  • Meet with and entertain clients as deemed appropriate to obtaining potential business.
  • Conduct site inspections, conference calls, and pre- and post-event meetings when necessary.
  • Understand not only the hotel’s features and benefits, but the market competitors' strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, etc. and know how to sell against them
  • Maximize revenue by selling all facets of the hotel.
  • Negotiate and close opportunities while achieving sales targets
  • Respond to incoming leads within 4 hours
  • Attend business review and weekly meetings
  • Must be able to manage multiple tasks; strong organization skills
  • Meet and/or exceed the weekly sales requirements of face-to-face appointments, key account touch points, and prospecting calls.
  • Coordinate meeting space, audio visual, culinary, beverage, outside rentals/vendors, and all event-related specifics through BEOs and resumes. Upsell to maximize the revenues in each of these areas
  • Serve as the main liaison between the resort and client; proactively ask questions and communicate information where necessary. Take accountability for the group’s stay at the resort.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations to customers clients and other employees of the organization
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally verbal, written and non-verbal to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff.
  • Promote team work and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments. Coordinate details with other departments as needed.
  • Appropriate, professional appearance and presentation
  • Strong computer knowledge, with technical ability and/or aptitude to fully use Microsoft Word, Delphi, Excel, Outlook, and other management systems.
  • Respond to tasks as assigned by supervisor/manager
  • Assist in other departments as needed and manage a positive working relationship
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in hotel sales
