SUMMARY
BMC is currently seeking experienced and new graduate Medical Assistant and / or College Graduates with completed four year Health Science degrees to join our Dermatology team as a Medical Assistant / Scribe.
This position is full-time working 40 hours per week Monday through Friday, and is benefit eligible. Clinic ours are generally 8 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday with no weekend or evening shifts, and we close the clinic on major holidays.
Under general supervision of the Director of Nursing, and/or department supervisor, and the guidance and direction of the practice provider, the certified Medical Assistant supports the provider in a variety of patient care duties and performs related clerical duties in accordance with the area assigned. EDUCATION: Completion of an approved course of Medical Assistant study. Must possess current MA certification or registration from an accredited entity. College Students with completed four (4) bachelor's degree are required to submit transcripts for Nursing Department Approval. Current EMT certification will also suffice needs of MA education and Certification.
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE: Previous experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinic setting, preferred.
INITIAL TRAINING ON THE JOB: Three (3) months.
JUDGEMENT/PLANNING/INITIATIVE: Must be able to recognize and identify patient’s symptoms and use appropriate professional judgment in course of action.
Salary Range: $16.54 - $22.57 / per hour depending on experience
