SUMMARY - Director of Operations:

BMC is currently seeking a Director of Operations (DOO) to join our Administration team to help support all BMC Campuses in Boulder, Erie, Longmont, and Louisville. This position will work full-time and will enjoy our full benefit package. At BMC with offer an opportunity rich in experience as we have over 20 different outpatient specialties with 400 employees and physician combined.

Under the direct supervision of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) the Director of Operations (DO) will be responsible for the effective development, coordination and implementation of group wide administrative and operational initiatives. Works daily with the BMC CFO, Director of Nursing, site managers, administration, and clinical personnel to improve the overall operational efficiency and effectiveness of the organization. Has direct supervision of group-wide programmatic prioritization, continuity and standardization.

Job Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Accountable for directing and leading the operational planning and coordination efforts for the group. Creates and implements clinic-wide standardization policies, goals and objectives.
  • Works with the CEO to develop and implement a strategic plan for the clinic.
  • Coordinates between departments and sites to ensure compliance and accountability for all standard operating procedures as well as full compliance with state, local, federal regulations and all applicable laws governing clinical business operations.
  • Works in collaboration with administrative personnel and clinical leaders to ensure effective delivery of medical services.
  • Facilitates and ensures proper communication and information flow across all departments.
  • Evaluates financial and benchmarking information / measurements to ensure best management of the business and the achievement of business goals.
  • Participates in the budget process and manages group expenses accordingly.
Required Experience:
EDUCATION:
  • Graduate of accredited education program with a degree in Business Administration or Healthcare Administration. Master’s Degree Preferred.
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE:
  • 7-10 years of experience as medical practice manager or director. Multi-site and multi-specialty experience preferred.
INITIAL TRAINING ON THE JOB:
  • Six (6) months.
JUDGEMENT/PLANNING/INITIATIVE:
  • Must be able to recognize and identify organizational needs and communication dynamics and able to adjust engagement approach to those needs.

Salary Range:

  • $110,000 - $150,000/annually; depending on experience
