Bottoms Up Tanning & Spa is Hiring a Sales Associate Near Vacaville, CA

Job Summary: The Sales Associate’s primary responsibilities are to offer customer service consultations on all services at salon, while assessing client needs, scheduling appointments, promoting, and selling products and services, adhering to company policy and procedures, and maintaining cleanliness of the salon.

Job Duties:

1. Work in a culture and environment of collaboration within your team members, towards the greater good of the company and our clients.

2. Ensure each customer is greeted warmly and provided excellent customer service through the entirety of their salon visit.

3. Effectively address and promptly resolve clients concerns as they arise.

4. Maintain effective communication with co-workers, management, and customers, always, addressing all questions or concerns promptly.

5. Utilizing the Front Desk Employee Email to maintain effective and clear communication.

6. Efficiently manage time to provide service to incoming clients, phone calls, and complete tasks.

7. Administer tours of the facility to new customers, providing a clear understanding of the designed use and capability of each machine.

8. Kindly educate customers and fellow staff on the products and services offered and provide recommendations.

9. Utilize Mindbody to schedule appointments, organize client information, as well as all services in and out of use.

10. Accurately manage and update clients’ accounts.

11. Scan all documents, rename accordingly, upload to server, and input into client documents located in Mindbody, and file in designated binders for monthly scans.

12. Assist Manager in monthly scans as directed by management.

13. Stay knowledgeable of current sales, promotions, and packages.

14. Maintain front desk organization and cleanliness at all times – keep desk free of clutter and papers.

15. The ability to have knowledge and confidence to upsell while ensuring customer needs are met.

16. Open and close salon on time while ensuring proper procedures and policies are followed.

17. Understand, locate, and utilize all available checklists and manuals.

18. Communicate your need, design, and obtain all company materials.

19. Work independently and productively while keeping open communication with others.

20. Accurately count money and receipts made from sales, balance the cash drawer, and deposit money in safe at the end of shift.

21. Regular attendance and timeliness.

22. Conduct services for clients on Cryotherapy, My Lipo, FitBody, Red Light Sauna, Wellness Pod, Red Light Therapy, Spray Tanning, and various Tanning Beds with knowledge and safety.

23. Regularly attend monthly meetings with management.

24. Attend training and safety meetings on services.

25. Complete daily, weekly, and monthly deep clean of all rooms and services on the salon. Including the bathroom and breakroom.

26. Optional attendance to monthly team bonding’s, and annual corporate retreats.

27. Always provide Excellent Customer Service.

28. Perform other duties as assigned or otherwise identified.

29. Submit time off request in when at work 1 month in advance and once schedule is released responsible to swap shifts and coverage.

Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications:

  • Must have strong computer skills and ability to use the following software/programs:

Microsoft Outlook (Office, Word, Excel), Internet, T-Max, MindBody, Fit-Body Wrap, Pura, My Lipo, Red Light Sauna, ‘Group Me’ app, ‘When I Work’ app, Cryotherapy Chamber

  • Ability to Successfully Pass and Complete Cryotherapy Online Certification within thirty days of hire date.
  • Ability to Successfully Pass and Complete In-House Procedure and Equipment Usage Assessment within thirty days of hire date.
  • Valid Driver’s License preferred.

Typical Working Environment:

Work indoors in a retail counter setting; potential for warm temperatures indoors during summer months with equipment emitting heat; fluctuating noise levels with multiple beds, fans, television, and other equipment running. Occasional meetings or work performed at other office location; possibility for occasional driving, as needed.

Physical Demands:

  • Constantly (more than 66%) talking and listening while performing work.
  • Frequently (34-66%) using sense of feel/touch, reaching overhead and outward, sitting, standing, walking on normal surfaces, bending, grasping/holding, using keyboard and/or ten-key, fine dexterity with hands and repetitive hand motion.
  • Occasionally (1% - 33%) using sense of smell.
  • Rarely (less than 1 hour per week) lifting/carrying up to 10 lbs., pushing/pulling up to 10 lbs., climbing, kneeling, squatting, and walking on slippery or uneven surfaces.

Hours of Work:

This position will work the hours necessary to meet the needs of the business and to complete necessary job duties. May include work during days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. Employee is authorized and permitted to take all meal and rest breaks in accordance with company policy, see employee Handbook.
