Description

Boswell Engineering has an immediate opening for a Proposal Manager to be based at our headquarters located in South Hackensack, NJ. The Proposal Manager, reporting directly to the VP of Marketing/Business Development, will collaborate with our captive management team and department heads in the preparation of proposals, qualification statements, letters of interest and presentations to support the pursuit of new opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and participate in the preparation of proposals, statements of qualifications and letters of interest.
  • Participate in Go/No Go analyses.
  • Collaborate with technical staff to develop proposal scope of work, approach and fee content.
  • Assist technical staff in all aspects of technical proposals including cover letters, executive summaries, project descriptions, summary narratives, etc.
  • Prepare and tailor resumes for proposals.
  • Ensure proposals are in compliance with all RFP/RFQ criteria and requirements.
  • Coordinate graphics for proposals and marketing materials.
  • Proofread proposals to ensure accuracy, quality writing and clear focus.
  • Support debriefs and client feedback on proposals.
  • Maintain control of all documentation, and ensure documentation is current.
  • Comply with Boswell’s corporate standards to present a consistent appearance/style for PowerPoint presentations, graphics, proposals, and resumes.
  • Support preparation of collateral materials, including brochures, project sheets and the company website.
  • Assist in managing and updating online social media presence.
  • Draft, coordinate, and edit content for PowerPoint presentations, company newsletters, announcements and news worthy press releases.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related field.
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience in developing and coordinating proposals, statements of qualifications, PowerPoint presentations and business development deliverables in the engineering, construction and/or environmental industry preferred.
  • Experience coordinating efforts of a proposal team.
  • Experienced with preparation of SF 254, SF 255, SF 330 and other forms.
  • Effective time management, organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Extensive Word, Excel, InDesign and PowerPoint experience required.
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Strong interpersonal/communication skills and experience collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Adept at being attentive to detail and to think strategically.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Familiarity with Deltek Vision or database administration preferred.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and InDesign, desktop publishing, or graphics software preferred.
  • Familiarity with public sector clients at the local, county and state levels of government.
  • Experience with state and regional transportation agencies in the tri-state area preferred.
