Job Description:
Our Client is a Law Firm seeking a non-attorney Business Development Community Director.
As Business Development Community Director , you will oversee activities to meet revenue goals, primarily in the north metro area. Compensation includes base pay plus bonuses tied to client relationships and revenue targets.
Responsibilities as Business Development Community Director:
  • Building and managing a pipeline of potential clients from various sources.
  • Engaging with referral partners like financial advisors, accountants, and more.
  • Attending chamber and Provisors meetings, organizing lunches with potential partners, and hosting seminars at libraries and churches.
  • Collaborating with clients and their advisors to provide comprehensive solutions beyond legal services.
This role will serve as our Client's law firm representative and will ensure compliance with ethical standards and avoid the unauthorized practice of law. The firm emphasizes proactive planning for individuals, families, and businesses, aiming to assist 10,000 clients by 2034. They will prioritize personalized care over mere document processing. The Solutions Specialist will guide clients through their situations, helping them understand the implications and potential solutions without providing legal advice. Meetings are held by appointment, either in-person, via Zoom, or by telephone, with detailed documentation maintained. Engagements are subject to review by the new client engagement committee and the assigned attorney.
The idea candidate will be experienced in high-ticket sales and professional services, empathetic with clients, embrace metrics, possess excellent communication skills, committed to lifelong learning for sales proficiency.
Responsibilities as Business Development Community Director:
  • Manage schedule to balance meetings with prospective clients, follow-ups with 'no' responses and current clients' quality control calls.
  • Keep detailed notes in a centralized database.
  • Cover for team members when needed. Facilitate smooth transition to legal team. Provide feedback on leads to management.
  • Attend tradeshows and networking events.
  • Use consultative approach in sales calls. Maintain list of prospects and companies.
  • Manage sponsorships and event logistics.
  • Update CRM system promptly.
  • Stay updated on bar rules and legal trends.
Qualifications for Business Development Community Director:
  • Three years relevant experience in fundraising, sales, or equivalent.
  • Daily travel ability with reliable transportation.
  • Capable of lifting and moving large objects.
  • Strong interest in consultative solutions selling.
  • Proven track record in consultative and telephone sales.
  • Success in lead generation, prospecting, negotiation, and closing.
  • Proficiency in CRM or case management software.
  • Independent, adaptable, problem-solving.
  • Proactive with attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of the legal industry preferred.
  • Real-life experience with empathy.
  • Experience overcoming significant obstacles is a plus.
Compensation:
Base salary: $52,000 plus quarterly reviews to award bonuses based on actions taken, client feedback, and being a team player. Earning potentials based on criteria are upwards of $100k.
