Seeking innovative, passionate self-starters who are looking to work in an environment where curiosity and drive are encouraged and rewarded. Founded in 1995, we are located in Waltham, MA. Job DescriptionBoston Engineering, an innovative product development engineering company, seeks an experienced and highly motivated Senior Engineering Program Manager. This customer-facing role requires your technical breadth and depth, as well as project management experience. With a hands-on approach, you will lead cross-functional development teams working on a broad range of products and solutions for our clients. Additionally, you will support the Project Management Office (PMO) in contributing to best practices for all project managers to leverage.In this role, you will:Provide Leadership and Project Management by:Creating and effectively managing project schedules and resource plansEffectively utilizing project management tools to manage project costsEstablishing and tracking scope, schedules, budgets, and deliverablesEffectively leading and providing technical direction to multi-disciplined engineering/implementation teamsIntroducing concepts and improvements to drive customer satisfaction, project execution, and process improvement.Support our Capture Team by:Writing effective and compelling proposals with heavy technical contentDeveloping project plans and estimatesAssist with Client Management by:Serving as the primary point of contact for clientsCoordinating and conducting periodic project updates with customers both verbally and written, reporting on budget, scope, schedule, and riskEffectively communicating status, expectations, and risks to clients/stakeholders of widely varying backgrounds (technical, marketing, sales, finance)QualificationsTo be successful, you will need:Minimum of a BS engineering degree (ideally in electrical or software engineering) with 10 years of engineering experience and at least five years of project management or in another leadership roleExperience with multiple development methodologies (waterfall, agile, etc.)Working knowledge of electrical, software, and mechanical design integration and engineering processesExperience with design/architecture of complex electro-mechanical systems and design for manufacturingExcellent management and organization skills along with outstanding written and verbal skillsProficiency in the use of common project management tools and techniquesAbility to oversee and conduct critical project reviews, identification of project risks, and development of risk mitigation strategies and approaches with the ability to report internally and externallyProficiency in MS Project, MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), and MS Visio, JIRA, and SharePoint tools (or equivalent)Familiarity with ISO13485 is a plusNo relocationAdditional InformationThis role is restricted to US persons (i.e., US citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 USC 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology.
