Are you a hands-on Maintenance Technician ready to take on a new challenge? We're looking for organized, self-motivated, and dependable individuals with a strong sense of initiative to join our team. If you enjoy working in a dynamic environment, collaborating with a dedicated property staff, and engaging with vendors to complete projects efficiently, we want to hear from you!

BROAD SCOPE OF DUTIES

As a Maintenance Technician, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the ongoing maintenance and upkeep of our multi-family apartment complex. Additionally, in your supervisory capacity, you will provide guidance to the maintenance team, manage work orders, process purchase orders, and coordinate with third-party contractors. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in basic painting, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work. A valid driver's license and on-call availability are also required.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Clean vacant units, interior spaces, and grounds to maintain a welcoming environment for residents.
  • Ensure that vacant units are turned over promptly to maximize occupancy.
  • Take charge of groundskeeping, landscaping, and snow removal to keep the property looking its best year-round.
  • Execute interior painting projects and associated prep work with precision.
  • Perform miscellaneous carpentry repairs to address maintenance issues.
  • Tackle appliance repairs to ensure residents' convenience and satisfaction.
  • Expertly repair or replace plumbing fixtures as needed.
  • Change locks efficiently and securely.
  • Maintain supplies and meticulous records to streamline operations.
  • Collaborate with vendors, solicit bids for major repairs, purchases, or contracts, and ensure cost-effective solutions.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role in a multi-family housing setting.
  • Proficiency in painting, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work.
  • Strong organizational skills and a self-motivated work ethic.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with property staff and vendors.
  • Valid driver's license and the flexibility to be on-call when necessary.
  • Ability to handle physical demands, including lifting and outdoor work.
