Job Description
- This position works at assigned position on a progressive assembly line or at varying positions and / or on a variety of support equipment and / or light machines.
- Assembles / packs a variety of power tools.
- Follows standardized procedures or verbal instructions to assemble a variety of parts. Uses simple hand or power tools and holding fixtures along with hydraulic presses as required.
- Places product part in fixture or on bench and assembles components as instructed, checking for obvious defects.
- Places finished product, required accessories and necessary paperwork in assembled box. Operates staple, shrink and auto boxing machines as required.
- Reports any questionable material or parts to foreman or his / her designated representative.
- Observes all safety regulations and reports any unsafe working conditions or activities to the supervisor, ensuring that the work area is clean and safe at all times, and performs other duties as required.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Prior warehouse or material handling experience preferred
- Demonstrated math skills and ability to work with numbers
- Demonstrated written communication skills and legible handwriting
- Physical agility and ability to operate basic office / mfg equipment
- Ability to lift and handle up to 50 lbs.
