Borrego Health is Hiring a Quality Specialist Near Escondido, CA

Quality SpecialistUnder the direction of the Health Plan Performance Manager, the Quality Specialist will drive consistent, efficient processes and share best-practices – in a collaborative effort with each clinic site to reach Borrego Health’s strategic Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS) and Pay for Performance incentive goals. The Quality Specialist identifies areas of focus for each clinic site and implements improvement activities to increase HEDIS compliance rates. The Quality Specialist serves as a liaison between Borrego Health and the health plans for HEDIS quality metrics.1. Serves as the subject matter expert for meeting the requirements of HEDIS measures. Utilizes an interdisciplinary team approach to facilitate HEDIS compliance (including coding and documentation).2. Conduct analytical interpretation of HEDIS reporting, including executive summaries to leadership and provider groups.3. Coordinates the recall efforts for gaps in care, as well as the collection and submission of supplemental data to the health plans to meet HEDIS goals and pay for performance incentives.4. Lead or participate and present in weekly, Monthly, Bi-monthly, Quarterly meetings related to HEDIS activities, summarizing clinic site performance as requested by or required by the Quality department and leadership.Apply today if your background includes:Minimum Qualifications:Specific healthcare work experience in Quality Improvement, HEDIS and UDS measures.2 years of experience performing HEDIS® Compliance AuditsBilingual - English / Spanish or English/ArabicAll staff that is presently working within a clinic is required to have a Current and Valid CPR and First Aide certification on file with the Human Resources Department. This is for clinical and administrative staff. This new license requirement is mandatory for continued employment, CPR and First Aide certification must be obtained through the American Heart Association.
