Booz Allen is Hiring a Project Control Analyst Near Mc Lean, VA

Project Control Analyst

The Opportunity:

The right mixture of great ideas and funding can create change. In a complex organization, allocating funding to where it can be most effective can be challenging. That’s why we need you, a financial analyst who can easily navigate the requirements, policies, and regulations that govern funding, to make sure Space and Intel resources can make the most impact.

As a financial analyst on our team, you’ll create a financial management strategy to help military intelligence programs succeed. You’ll perform detailed financial and program control activities, including reporting, estimating, and analysis for full contract life cycle support. You’ll analyze budgets, approve budget expenditures, provide work leadership to junior employees, monitor expenses, perform cost and schedule variance analysis, and provide resulting recommendations. You’ll prepare the cost-to-complete, including supporting estimates and contract deliverables, respond to contract and program data calls, and participate in contract terms and conditions and statement of work reviews. You’ll also prepare detailed financial program management reviews, provide a status of key performance metrics for the firm, anticipate and respond to customer needs, and serve as a primary point of contact for customers. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.

Join us. The world can’t wait.

You Have:

  • 2 years of experience in financial analysis and reporting within a large corporate organization

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including macros and advanced formulas and their use in a financial tracking, analysis, and reporting environment

  • Ability to identify, research, discuss, and resolve administrative and financial issues independently and as part of a team

  • Ability to set priorities that balance, service, control, manage, and track multiple initiatives

  • Ability to accomplish financial forecasts and estimates completely based on bottoms-up analysis and historical trends

  • HS diploma or GED and 6 years of experience with financial management or in a financial program, or Associate's degree and 4 years of experience with financial management or in a financial program control environment

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with Federal government contracting

  • Experience with a variety of contract types

  • Experience with supporting contracts incorporating subcontract teaming partners

  • Ability to be a team player, work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, and adapt to changing requirements

  • Ability to identify, share, and help implement leading practices, and take the lead with program managers in terms of communications, driving action items to completion, and guiding them to tasks as the financial POC of the client-facing team

  • Bachelor's degree
