Bonvenu Bank is Hiring a Credit Analyst II Near Baton Rouge, LA

Works primarily as support personnel for lending division through spreading and analyzing financial statement and tax return data. Prepares business and individual financial statement spreadsheets and cash flow statements. Develops and maintains specialized spread sheets and templates. Occasional customer contact to obtain financial information. Performs other duties as requested by Credit Administration Officer.

This position can be located in Mandeville, Metairie, Baton Rouge, or the Shreveport-Bossier area but is not a remote position. There is only one position available.

Job Requirements

  • College Degree, preferably with emphasis in finance or business
  • Previous credit analysis experience or training
  • Fundamental understanding of basic accounting and financial ratios
  • Detailed understanding of Microsoft Excel

Specific Job Functions

  • Analyze credit data and financial statements to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money.
  • Generate financial ratios, using computer programs, to evaluate customers' financial status.
  • Explain changes in financial conditions, and understand ratios
  • Prepare most credit packages independently, with Manager’s guidance on complex relationships or loan requests
  • Complete informative credit analysis memorandums
  • Consult with customers to verify financial and credit transactions.
  • Prepare reports that include the degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money.
  • Complete credit analysis memorandums, including analyzing spreads, summaries of loan requests, and submit to loan committees for approval.
  • Compare liquidity, profitability, and credit histories of establishments being evaluated with those of similar establishments in the same industries and geographic locations.
  • Analyze financial data such as income growth, quality of management, and market share to determine expected profitability of loans.
  • Evaluate customer records and recommend payment plans based on earnings, liquidity, payment history, and purchase activity.
  • Confer with credit association and other business representatives to exchange credit information.
  • Confidently answer credit questions presented in committee
