As we continue to expand, BoatJunkie Sales and Service is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Comptroller who will be responsible for planning and execution of all phases of the accounting process.

Ideal Candidate will aid in growing and developing the company by maintaining financial health and providing financial information that will contribute to the achievement of the company goals and objectives.

Responsibilities:

1. Execute on all details of our company Vision, Mission and Values.

2. Deliver outstanding customer service while serving customers in a professional and knowledgeable manner.

3. Responsible for all phases of the accounting process up to and including closing the month end books together with all corresponding accounts reconciliation.

4. Prepare monthly/yearly financial statements and reports, 1099 reporting, quarterly, yearly payroll taxes and preparation of property tax returns.

5. Prepare bank reconciliations.

6. Responsible for job costing, fixed asset accounting, depreciation schedules.

7. Maintain the General Ledger accounts and related supporting work papers.

8. Maintain and supervise floor plan credit lines with partnering financial institutions.

9. Responsible for the preparation and management of a daily cash flow report.

10. Assist with timely processing of payrolls, accounts payable checks, tax payments, etc.

11. Supervise and assist as needed with Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Payroll personnel. Work with employees in a constructive manner to resolve issues.

12. Perform other related duties and assignments as required including general bookkeeping responsibilities as assigned.

13. Additional duties will be to assist the Management Team in the relentless commitment to advance the accounting and operational processes resulting in greater use of talent and resources overall improving the Customers experience as well as Companies profit potential.

14. Monitor departmental KPIs and in coordination with operations manager and department heads take action to improve low performance areas.

15. Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance overall efficiency.

16. Mentor and coach accounting team.

17. Establish and maintain strong relationships with banks, finance institutions, and partners.

18. Create custom reports and spreadsheets to analyze and dissect various business data to make informed operational decisions.

19. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end departmental financial reports as required by Management.

20. Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)

· 5-10 years of experience in financial management or accounting role

· Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP)

· Strong analytical skills with a focus on accuracy and efficiency

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Rate of Pay Is NEGOTIABLE and will depend on the skillset of the candidate.
