Overview:

As Events Manager, you will work closely with the US Specialist departments, Marketing team and US Management team, as well as other internal stakeholders, to produce and coordinate the execution of events at both our Saleroom buildings (in New York, Los Angeles and Boston) and off-site as required. You will report into the Marketing Director in New York and liaise daily with the US Marketing and Events team. Other key internal partners will include Trusts & Estates, Operations and Design.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The Events Manager will lead US event strategy and implementation for all on-and-off-site events, working to bring to life the Brand’s vision and strategic goals.
  • Equipped with strong management skills, they will oversee the end-to-end production and execution of all events, including on-site event management, focusing on the experience for our clients.
  • Working with Specialist Departments and Stakeholders, design and budget appropriate Events to support business goals throughout the US.
  • Meticulously own, manage and optimize the Events budget, delivering high-quality experiences within allocated resources.
  • Manage the booking of technical and production requirements with external suppliers and agencies, including all contracts, documentation and invoicing.
  • Liaise with all Heads of Departments to ensure each event is run effectively and that all parties are aware of their responsibilities.
  • Source appropriate event and brand partnerships that support the Bonhams vision.
  • Consider and propose appropriate opportunities to engage new audiences through the events program.
  • Report on budget conversion and success stories of the events calendar.
  • Work closely with Business Development Team on post-event leads, to report effectively against KPIs set.

Qualifications:

  • Proven 4 year track record of events management in the Art or Luxury sphere.
  • Relationships with event design and production contacts in the luxury market.
  • Proven ability of managing large and global budgets and analytical reporting.
  • Highly organized including ability to multi-task and meet varied and tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrates initiative and a high degree of problem-solving.
  • Good understanding of luxury arena.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
