General Summary of Duties: Provide safe, appropriate, and effective massage services.
Supervision Received: Reports to Chief Executive Officer
Typical Physical Demands: Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting clients/patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. Involves sitting, standing, walking, bending, and stooping for extensive periods of time. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 50 pounds. Requires normal vision acuity and hearing.
Typical Working Condition: Primarily treatment room setting. Exposure to communicable diseases and other conditions common to a clinic setting.

Performance Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Knowledge and ability to assess client's/patient's soft tissue condition, joint quality, muscle strength and their range of motion. Ability to manipulate the soft body tissues to increase the health and well-being of each client/patient. Ability to use massage therapy to promote blood flow, stimulate nerves, condition the skin and stretch and loosen up the muscles to keep them elastic. Ability to consult with other health care professionals in order to develop effective treatment plans for each client/patient. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
Education: High school diploma or GED. Successful completion of a Massage Therapy program from an accredited school.
Experience: Minimum of one year experience as a Message Therapist, preferrably in a clinic setting. Computer expereince required.
Certificate/License: Requires valid State of Florida licensure as a Massage Therapist (LMT) through the Department of Health, Division of Medical Quality Assurance.
