SUMMARY
The Social Media Specialist is a nimble, effective communicator, agile content creator across multiple platforms and storyteller who executes social media strategy for Bon Secours Mercy Health. This role significantly contributes to our goals of driving brand awareness and fostering relationship building with consumers with a strong focus on data/insights and innovation.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Amplify the ministry’s content strategy for a consistent and coordinated tone across digital platforms.
Use Sprout Social to execute and publish content including blogs, short form videos, social posts, etc. across the ministry’s regional and brand accounts.
Leverage Sprout analytics to articulate insights/key learnings. Report on these findings to key stakeholders.
Coordinate high priority and tight turnaround content that is on brand and relevant within the social media dynamic landscape that is mission-centric.
Conduct social media audits for best practices. Communicate these findings to multiple stakeholders.
Promote the brand and its values via social media.
Capture and edit short-form video as needed.
Proactive storytelling and writing content in support of social media strategy.
Organizing and maintaining a shared inbox with social media submissions.
Conducting training with local contacts to ensure quality submissions in support of key service line priorities.
Partner with marketing colleagues and facilitate clear lines of communication about projects and key social initiatives.

EDUCATION
Bachelor degree (Required)
Field of Study- Communications, marketing, social media, journalism or related field (Preferred)
WORK EXPERIENCE
2-4 years of directly-related experience in social media, communications, marketing, or journalism (Required)
TRAINING
Social Media Management platform experience preferred (Sprout, Hootsuite, etc.) (Preferred)

Writing social copy and selecting images
Publishing social media posts through Sprout Social platform
Interviewing people for stories
Scheduling meetings
Coordination with social media team
