The Finance Director for Rocky Mountain Cannabis has a primary responsibility for the company’s overall financial wellness. This encompasses the planning, implementation, managing and running of all finance activities, including, but not limited to business planning, budgeting, forecasting and negotiations, especially lease negotiations. The Finance Director will work directly with the CEO, as well as other department heads, to ensure continued profitable growth for the business.

Responsibilities:

• Creating and verifying income tax estimates and scheduling all payments for the IRS and State.
• Tax preparation for end of year filings, including checking classifications and finding items/opportunities for depreciation.
• Supervising cash flow for all store and corporate accounts (12 accounts total).
• Negotiating lease renewals and building maintenance items and maintaining landlord relationships.
• Acting as a liaison between RMC and its banking institution.
• Invoice management (external and internal) as well as overseeing vendor payments.
• Working with store Managers and the Procurement Team as needed in order to develop cash flow management strategies.
• Acting as a liaison between RMC and its Owners and Board of Directors.
• General company bookkeeping oversight.
• Facilitating weekly financial meetings with all financial team members.
• Managing backend payroll items, including troubleshooting discrepancies, managing general ledger issues, and interfacing with agencies.
• Managing Quickbooks Online accounts along with any corresponding accounting needs (asset accounts, loans and loan repayments, payables, receivables, etc.)
• Tracking and verifying applicable taxes and tax rates in POS systems.
• Managing and overseeing sales tax filings and working alongside the finance team to manage any discrepancies.
• Managing and overseeing unemployment and tax rates.
• Accounts Receivable for Corporate Fees either to the stores or between stores.
• Invoicing guidance for split between Corporation and stores based upon most current service agreements.
• Additional accounting and financial responsibilities as business needs dictate.

Job Requirements-

• CPA Preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree Preferred.
• Quickbooks Experience Required.
• Colorado or New Mexico Resident Preferred.
• Candidate should have a general understanding of accounting practices.
• Candidate should be computer literate and have a solid math, business or accounting background.
• Cannabis Industry Experience Required.
• Real Estate experience Preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
