Department: 10 – Heavy Construction
Reports to: Aviation Paving Superintendent
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for the oversight of paving crews, including Craft Supervisors, Craft Leads, and Craft. Oversees the
concrete paving crew to install high quality concrete paving safely, productively, and efficiently. Coordinates
and interfaces effectively with Aviation Paving Superintendent and Construction Manager to ensure work
plans and procedures are following in the field. Ensures crews adhere to safety, attendance, and workplace
behavior standards in accordance with the Company Policies and Code of Ethics and Business Conduct.
Manages preparation and/or execution of slipform and fixed form paving operations and constructs finished
pavements meeting stringent FAA, USACE, and various state / DOT specifications. Assists the Superintendent
with direct in-field supervision of a crew working on all phases of construction. Responsible for maintaining
and improving the efficiency and effectiveness of all areas of work under his/her direction and control. Serves
as the front-line Safety Officer for the site/project and is directly responsible for the Safety of his/her crew.
Must be willing to travel, work out of town, and work night shifts.

Physical Demands/Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to speak and hear. The employee is
frequently required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The
employee is required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must
occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision,
distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Employee usually
stationed at jobsite and will be required to physically perform work at times.
Must have the ability to work long hours, night shifts, work out of town (per diem applies), and drive long distances
to and from work; will be required to work weekends and nights at times.
