BODYBAR Pilates, A fast-growing fitness franchise based out of Fort Worth, Texas is seeking an experienced, proactive and detail oriented Merchandising and Procurement professional to oversee franchise retail purchasing operations across the BODYBAR Pilates system. This is a full-time exempt position and the ideal employee for this position must be a team player with prior experience in retail sales, athletic/athleisure wear, and merchandising. Reporting directly to the Director of Marketing, this position will be an integral part of the HQ franchising team with a core focus on negotiations, research & planning, merchandising, and brand compliance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Maintain relationships with retail vendors and suppliers while continually scouting for additional, quality vendors.
  • Negotiate retail vendor pricing and minimum/maximum fulfillment quantities
  • Evaluate spending operations while seeking ways to improve and enhance quality products and timeliness of production and fulfillment
  • Conduct regular market research/analysis for retail trends and changes in price points
  • Communicate with management regularly regarding efficient flow of products and services
  • Support & Train Franchisees: Develop and deliver comprehensive retail training programs for our franchisees, covering everything from initial inventory ordering to ongoing sales techniques and best practices
  • Work with the Marketing Department to procure and apply materials for internal and external projects, including but not limited to: apparel design, studio social media content, ecommerce site content
  • Review and analyze retail revenue reports to determine profitability and demand for various products
  • Liaise with the accounting department and produce reports needed for financial reporting
  • Monitor franchisee retail purchases to ensure they align with brand standards and guidelines
  • Monitor warehouse retail inventory levels for high order items and reorder as prescribed
  • Complete financial and other administration tasks as neededEDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Retail, Supply Chain Management or related field
    • 2 year’s experience overseeing retail and merchandising
    • 2 year’s experience working in the fitness franchising environment
    • Proven knowledge of athletic and athleisure wear trends
    • Excellent management and organization skills
    • Strong negotiation and problem solving skills
    • Efficient and effective communication skills
    • Supply change management experience preferred
    • Ability to analyze data and identify trends
    • Team player with the ability to work independently
    • Must be willing to travel up to 25%
    Note: Candidates local to the Dallas-Fort Worth area strongly preferred
